About Darrell Lowe

Operational experience. Executive perspective. Independent advice.

Darrell Lowe is Chief of Police for the City of Redmond, Washington, and founder of The Lowe Group.AI, LLC. Appointed chief in 2019, he brings more than three decades of law-enforcement experience and practical leadership in AI governance, drone operations, real-time information, organizational change, and public accountability.

He previously served as a public-safety representative on the Washington State Artificial Intelligence Task Force, whose work concluded in 2026, and on the Governor's Task Force on Independent Investigations of Police Use of Force. He was president of the Washington Association of Sheriffs and Police Chiefs for 2024-25.

He currently serves on the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE) Emergent Technologies Committee and is a member of the IJIS Institute Law Enforcement Advisory Committee (LEAC).
