Chief Darrell Lowe

Chief Darrell Lowe serves as Chief of Police for Redmond, Washington, where he currently leads one of the most recognized public safety technology programs in the country. He founded The Lowe Group to bring that operational perspective directly to agencies, founders, and investors who need more than a consultant — they need someone who is still making these decisions in real environments.

Under his active leadership at Redmond PD, Chief Lowe built Washington State's first Drone as First Responder program and secured FAA approval for Beyond Visual Line of Sight operations. He has integrated AI, real-time analytics, and unmanned systems into daily operations — and continues to do so. The advisory work reflects what is being built and defended today, not what was done years ago.

Prior to Redmond, Chief Lowe spent 27 years at the Santa Monica Police Department, rising through supervisory, command, and executive ranks. He developed California's state investigative supervisor and management course and is a POST Master Instructor certified in Instructional System Design.

He holds an M.S. in Emergency Services Administration from Cal State Long Beach and a B.A. in Sociology from Cal State Northridge. He is an FBI National Academy graduate (Session 249), FBI LEEDS (Session 81), and a graduate of the Executive Leadership Institute at the Drucker School of Management. He is a collegiate author and instructor, and a contributing author to U.S. DOJ guidebooks on public safety leadership.
