Before the Room
Meeting and executive preparation
Pressure-test the stakeholders, titles, questions, assumptions, objectives, and follow-through before an important public-safety conversation.
Retained Public-Safety Advisory
A compensated, ongoing advisory relationship that brings candid public-safety perspective to consequential strategy, product, market, and customer decisions.
The Relationship
A one-time conversation can answer a question. A retained relationship allows an advisor to understand the company's goals, people, products, language, market challenges, and commitments over time.
Select technology companies retain Darrell Lowe for agreed access to an independent public-safety perspective when a high-stakes meeting, product decision, message, or implementation question requires more than an internal echo chamber.
Establish recurring sessions, on-call access, response expectations, and the people authorized to use the relationship.
Use the advisor to pressure-test assumptions, prepare leaders, surface operational consequences, and ask better questions.
The advisor is not a commissioned salesperson, lobbyist, procurement intermediary, or source of confidential agency information.
When to Call
The retainer is built for the moments that do not justify a new consulting project but matter too much to handle without informed outside counsel.
Before the Room
Pressure-test the stakeholders, titles, questions, assumptions, objectives, and follow-through before an important public-safety conversation.
Before the Message
Examine language, presentations, thought leadership, and product claims for credibility, operational relevance, and avoidable overstatement.
Before the Build
Surface policy, governance, implementation, user, labor, data, and public-trust questions that may not be visible inside the product team.
When It Stalls
Reexamine what the team believes about the agency, decision system, readiness, value, and next step without promising influence or a particular outcome.
When It Changes
Bring a public-safety lens to market shifts, annual planning, partnership questions, and strategic choices.
When Leaders Ask
Give authorized leaders a credible outside perspective when an urgent question deserves a direct, candid conversation.
Engagement Design
The scope is tailored to the company's needs and documented in writing. A typical relationship may combine recurring leadership sessions, agreed on-call availability, document or presentation review, and preparation for selected decisions or events.
Discuss a Retained RelationshipEvery prospective relationship is subject to ethics, outside-activity, independence, and conflict review before acceptance and throughout the engagement. Retained advisory does not include agency endorsement, procurement influence, lobbying, commissions tied to public contracts, introductions intended to secure preferential treatment, or access to confidential or nonpublic government information. Current public-agency vendors and their affiliates may be ineligible when a conflict or appearance concern exists.
Tell us where the recurring questions arise, who needs access, and what a useful retained relationship would help the company decide or prepare for.
